Snowflake Account vs Database: What’s the Difference?
A Snowflake account is the top-level environment where users, warehouses, databases, security, and billing are managed. A database is simply a storage container inside the account used to organize tables, schemas, and data objects. In short, the account manages the entire Snowflake platform, while the database stores the actual data.
