BigQuery Time Travel Explained: Recovering Accidentally Deleted Tables
In BigQuery, time travel allows you to access and restore previous versions of tables for a limited retention period, even after updates or deletions. If a table was accidentally dropped an hour ago, you can recover it by restoring the table from a point in time before deletion using BigQuery’s snapshot or recovery features. This capability helps protect against accidental data loss and supports auditing and rollback scenarios.
