Why Quantum Physics Uses Those Strange Brackets
In quantum computing, |0⟩ and |1⟩ are called basis states — the fundamental states a qubit can be measured as. The unusual bracket notation, known as Dirac or bra-ket notation, was created by Paul Dirac to mathematically describe quantum states in a compact and powerful way.
